Candle burning is more than striking a match and lighting a wick. Please follow our safety tips, they will ensure the life of your candle.

• Keep your wicks trimmed to 1/4 ". This will eliminate smoking and lengthen the burn time of the candle.
• Snuff out the flame rather than blowing it out.
• You may develop a carbon buildup (fragrance mushroom) on your wick. This shows it is a highly scented candle. If you see it on the wick, extinguish the candle, trim the wick to 1/4 ", relight and enjoy!
• Always burn your candle at least one hour per inch of jar. Never burn a container with a chip in it.
• Don’t allow the candle to burn all the way to the bottom, leave at least 1/2" of wax
• Don’t ever let a candle burn unattended.
• Make sure the candle is on a level, heat resistant surface.
• Remove all debris from the melt pool. Debris in the melt pool will cause smoking as well.
• Scented candles will smoke more and have more mushrooms on the wick due to our high quality fragrance oils.
• Make sure your room size will accommodate your candle. A candle burning in a small room will likely smoke.
• Keep out of reach of pets and children.
• Keep out of direct sunlight to avoid fading.
• Keep the candles away from drafts and do not place directly under ceiling fans.

We hope these tips help you lengthen the life of your candles.
